I spent two nights at my parent’s home this week due to my husband having to leave on a work-related trip. And right when he came back, he got another call to leave, so off we went on a road trip two hours south to deliver some parts. And yesterday I attended the wedding of my husband’s cousin: Yana and Vitaliy are finally married! Congratulations to the happy couple! The wedding was really sweet {and no I’m not referring to the slang version of sweet, but the sugary kind…}. And then my husband left again this morning to go back on-site. I certainly hope he will be home in time for a Valentine’s party that we were planning on attending tonight!

And some exciting news for me. When my husband came home on Wednesday from his trip, he handed me a big box…my Valentine’s present. Wrapping paper torn away, I discovered a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet inside! I’ve been wanting one for ages and saving up for it, but the savings always had to go elsewhere. My honey is such a honey! I’m excited to use the pen tool for some handwritten charm to graphic design. The other stuff I don’t care about. Why navigate on the tablet when I have Apple’s amazing Magic Trackpad? {images are screen shots from the Wacom website video}

Today, I’m planning on playing around with it. I still have yet to install it. What are you doing this weekend?
