I love paper garlands. Especially when they are glittery ones. This garland uses the same idea as a past DIY garland that I’ve done here on the blog, but I’m using scallops this time. So let’s learn how to…

STEP ONE: Take your large scallop punch and punch out an even amount of scallops from your variously colored glitter paper. If you find a glitter paper that is double-sided, you won’t have to do step two. If you find only a one-sided glitter paper (like me), then do all the steps.

STEP TWO: Use a piece of double stick tape to secure two different colored glitter punch outs together (the the glittery sides facing outward). Don’t worry if the edges of the scallops start to curl. It only adds to the charm of the garland.

STEP THREE: Use your standard size hole punch to punch out holes in the middle of all your newly formed glitter scallops.

STEP FOUR: Take your circle punch (these circles should be smaller than the scallop circles) and punch circles out of your thick paper. I chose ivory to help keep the colors flow into each other. Then use your tiny hole punch to punch holes in the middle of each of these circles too.

STEP FIVE: String them all together! Alternate between a scallop circle and the smaller circle.

STEP SIX: Fold each of the smaller circles in half. This adds space between the glittery scallop circles so you can see them shine brilliantly when the light hits them.

And there you go. A simple garland that can make any party shine.
