With spring coming up, I’m looking forward to freshening up my home with sweet touches. Since we moved in at the end of last summer, we did lots of remodeling work to get where we are today. Even though we still have lots to do, like paint all the trim white, redo the hardware floors, landscape the yard, finish painting some rooms, and so forth — I think I’m more eager to get some curtains hung up, buy little canisters for the kitchen counters, get my dream coffee table finally custom built with a matching bookshelf, buy a rug or two, add some more potted green plants to the home, and the list goes on. I remember before we moved in, I was set on having all the “big” things done before I could call this place home, but after several months living here, I realized it’s not about the big things but the small things that make a place feel cozy and inviting. So here’s to spring cleaning before the baby arrives and adding some fresh touches to the home!
